DOT Breath Alcohol
Breath Alcohol Technician Training for DOT Compliance
For your company to maintain DOT compliance, the person conducting a DOT alcohol test must meet certain standards. Any Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) that performs alcohol testing (whether pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, or post-accident) must demonstrate an understanding of DOT-approved collections established in 49 CFR Part 40.
In order for AOS collections specialists to provide industry-leading service and ensure your DOT compliance, all specialists undergo BAT training prior to starting collections and take refresher training every five years in accordance with DOT compliance requirements. You can trust that AOS will provide your company and personnel with complete, knowledgeable and comprehensive DOT breath alcohol test training.
Achieve DOT Compliance with BAT Training by AOS
AOS collections staff are all fully trained in breath alcohol collections procedures, which includes:
- Training in utilizing alcohol test procedures and the breath alcohol testing device
- Understanding the role of the collector in maintaining the integrity of the testing, and the privacy and comfort of the individual being tested
- An initial proficiency demonstration in which the prospective BAT must achieve proficiency in seven consecutive error-free trial tests
Our standards are high for those who teach DOT alcohol test training. In keeping with DOT compliance requirements, our DOT breath alcohol test training is conducted by proven experts who have shown the needed skill and knowledge in their capacity as a BAT or Screening Test Technician (STT).
