DOT Breath Alcohol
Breath Alcohol Technician Training for DOT Compliance
For your company to maintain DOT compliance, any BAT that performs alcohol testing (whether pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, or post-accident) must demonstrate an understanding of DOT-approved collections established in 49 CFR Part 40.
In order for our collections specialists to provide industry-leading service and ensure your DOT compliance, all undergo Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) training prior to starting collections and refresher training every 5 years in accordance with DOT compliance requirements.
Achieve DOT Compliance with BAT Training by AOS
AOS collections staff are all fully trained in breath alcohol collections procedures, which includes:
- Training in utilizing alcohol testing procedures & the breath alcohol testing device
- Understanding the collector’s role in maintaining the integrity of the testing & the privacy & comfort of the individual being tested
- An initial proficiency demonstration in which the prospective BAT must achieve proficiency in 7 consecutive error-free trial tests
In keeping with DOT compliance requirements, our breath alcohol training is conducted by experts who have shown the needed skill and knowledge in their capacity as a BAT or Screening Test Technician (STT).
